Kiana joined the Rainbow Railroad team in February 2022 as a case worker with a focus on mental health programming. Following the completion of her Bachelor’s of Social Work degree at the University of British Columbia in 2019, Kiana was employed as a program facilitator and support worker to provide peer, counselling, and one-on-one support for LGBTQI+ immigrants and refugees. She holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Victoria, and is currently working towards completing her Masters in Social Work at York University.
Kiana is a West Coast trope, as she loves to hike, camp, and spend time outdoors with her dog, Koda. She also enjoys skateboarding, and when she’s not running around, can be found spending downtime with her cat, Biko.
