Milo joined Rainbow Railroad as a Program Officer in June of 2022. They received their Bachelor’s degree in Peace, Justice and Conflict Studies from DePaul University in 2020 and are close to finishing their Master’s degree in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, also from DePaul. Their Undergraduate thesis “Transgender Depathologization is Transgender Liberation” was published in the journal Creating Knowledge. Additionally, they presented a paper on engaging men in transformative justice after situations of gender based violence in refugee camps at the 2021 Neuchâtel Graduate Conference on Migration and Mobility Studies. Outside academia, Milo is an educator on gender and sexuality and published their first guided journal titled Trans Futures Now this year. Milo has been actively engaged in community organizing and direct service related to prison abolition and immigrants rights in Chicago since they moved to the city from Houston, Texas in 2016. They’re excited to work alongside so many amazing colleagues working towards the liberation of all LGBT+ people across boarders.

In their free time, Milo enjoys sewing their own clothes and going on bike rides
