The Time Is Always Now

James Baldwin said: “There is never a time in the future in which we will work out our salvation. The challenge is in the moment; the time is always now.” Right now, LGBTQI+ rights are under attack everywhere. Our community is experiencing record levels of forced displacement, seeking safety from relentless persecution.

From Uganda’s deadly Anti-Homosexuality Act to Russia’s labeling of the international LGBTQI+ movement as extremist, our community is in a global fight for queer liberation. These are not isolated incidents — LGBTQI+ people are facing a global human rights crisis that demands an immediate, collective response. We cannot afford to wait any longer. The time is always now.
