LGBTQI+ rights are under attack everywhere.

LGBTQI+ rights are under attack everywhere.
The Time Is Always Now to respond as a community.
And our fight continues on every front. In the United States, LGBTQI+ refugees, asylees, and asylum seekers are increasingly vulnerable under a new administration. An upcoming federal election in Canada is an opportunity for the incoming government to protect and strengthen important pathways to safety. LGBTQI+ and immigrant rights are rolling back globally; in Chad, Kenya, Uganda, Russia, Afghanistan, and other countries around the world, LGBTQI+ communities have faced violent crackdowns in recent years. Worldwide, anti-immigrant and anti-LGBTQI+ sentiments are on the rise, and it is our responsibility to counter harmful narratives impacting our communities
James Baldwin reminds us: “There is never a time in the future in which we will work out our salvation. The challenge is in the moment; the time is always now.” This is that moment — a turning point for global LGBTQI+ liberation.
We all have a role to play in defending our rights. We urgently need members of our community to amplify our messages, and advocate to prevent the rollback of vital protections.
As asylum protections continue to erode around the world, our work faces increasing challenges.
